WHY SHOULD I HAVE MY BATHTUB REFINISHED?
Replacing your bathtub involves not only the cost of the new tub, but the added expense of replacing wall and floor tile, wall
board, plumbing and hardware. Refinishing will transform your tub to a sparkling factory new finish.
Our costumers refinish their tubs because:
• The original finish is worn off
• Change the color
• Fix chips & scratches
• Fix cracks in fiberglass tubs
• Their tub is hard to keep clean
DOES THE NEW FINISH COME WITH A WARRANTY?
Yes - 5 years.
HOW LONG DOES THE PROCESS TAKE?
Most bathtubs can be completed in less than 4 hours. The tub can be used in 24 after the work has been completed.
CAN I CHOOSE A COLOR?
Yes, we can match any color.
DO YOU REPLACE THE CAULK AROUND THE BATHTUB?
Yes, we remove all the caulk from around the tub and replace it when the job is complete.
HOW DOES THE CHEMICALS WORK?
We have a time-tested method developed specifically for bathroom refinishing. The secret of our chemicals lies in the ability
of the compounds to fuse on a molecular level to the substrate, becoming a permanent part of the original surface, unlike
bath liners.
WHT IS THE PROCESS?
• We set up a high powered ventilation system.
• We remove the drain cover & overflow plate.
• We remove the old caulk from around the tub.
• If the tub was painted, we strip the paint off.
• We acid wash (Etch) the tub, removing the porcelain finish.
• Body Work! We repair chips, holes, rust and cracks.
• Rust! We grind down the spots with rust, build it back up using a body filler, and then sand it down to a smooth finish.
• We mask off the entire bathroom using masking paper and plastic drop cloths.
• Using a tack cloth, we wipe dirt and dust out of the tub, then we sterilize the tub leaving it ready to be primed.
• The tub is primed with 4 coats of primer then 6 coats of the top-coat enamel.
• We leave the tub with a glossy finish, ready for use in 24 hours!
HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF MY NEW TUB?
Due to the non-porous surface of the finish, there is no need to use abrasive cleansers on refinished bathtubs. Any
household liquid detergent will give excellent results. To remove mineral stains, use a mild acid solution such as a liquid
bowl cleaner.
